- Miscellaneous: Sounds, animation effects, human/CPU player switching, etc.
- Pozin Change: You can swap the positions of the Knight and Bishop before starting.
Pieces
- King (漢/楚): A piece that can move freely one square at a time within a 3×3 area within the castle. However, it cannot leave the castle. If this piece cannot avoid being attacked, the game ends.
- Advisor (士/士): It is a piece with the same movement method as the King.
- Rook (車/车): A piece that can move forward, backward, left, or right as much as it wants. However, it cannot cross over other pieces. If it’s located diagonally within the castle, it can move along that diagonal, like a queen in chess.
- Cannon (包/包): A piece that can jump over any other piece in any direction, forward, backward, left, or right, diagonal (in castle area), and then move as far as it wants. However, it cannot jump more than one piece, and two Cannons of the same type cannot jump or capture each other.
- Knight (馬/马): A piece that moves one square in any direction, then one square diagonally in that direction. However, it can only move if there’s an empty space in the middle of its path. This is called a “Myeok.”
- Bishop (象/象): A piece that moves one square in any direction, then two squares diagonally in that direction. However, it can only move if both one square on the corresponding path and one square diagonally in that direction are empty.
- Pawn (兵/卒): Move one space forward or left or right. However, you cannot move backward. This also applies when capturing an opponent’s piece. If you enter an opponent’s castle area, you can also advance diagonally. Unlike chess, there is no promotion.
